Philanthropist Dies for Failure to Pay $1000
I just heard one of the saddest stories I heard in a long time, apparently a 93 year old WWII veteran who didn’t pay his electricity bill has died of hypothermia (house temperature was 32 degrees). Apparently, Martin Schur, owed a $1000 to the company and they put some sort of device, called a limiter, on his account so that he wouldn’t receive much power. And, the kicker is that this man’s nephew believes that he had over $500,000 dollars that he donated to charity, Bay Medical Center.
Now isn’t his nonsense? I always thought that electricity couldn’t be cut off for nonpayment in the winter time but I guess that isn’t always the case. It just goes to show that you shouldn’t judge people by appearances. Apparently this elderly gentleman wasn’t broke after all and was a wealthy philanthropist that chose NOT to pay his $1,000 bill.Instead, he chosen not to pay and died an agonizing and slow death. Unbelievable. What do you think?
