Women Donating Eggs for Cash - Yes or No?
OK, I just heard something crazy a few days ago– well, as the proud mother of 3 beautiful kids who I love with all my heart, I find this story a bit crazy.
Anyway, on CNN there is a story about women who are willing to sell their eggs for money. According to CNN’s video , 30 year old (or less) women sell their eggs to other women to make fat cash and help others who can’t have babies.
In fact, one woman has already gotten a whopping $7000 for her eggs and is set to get another $8000 in a few weeks. She doesn’t seem bothered by the morality of this at all.
However, I wonder is selling eggs really a viable business model? I mean, what if this mystery woman one day has a son who ummm marries his sister. Well, it could very well happen.
Although making $7,000 - $20,000 a pop for selling their lineage may sounds appealing to some women, it just doesn’t sound very appealing to me.
Instead, I would rather work hard and save my money other ways. To me, there is just something about selling my eggs that just doesn’t sit well with me.
Plus, I’m a bit too old anyway but even if I wasn’t it just does not sound worth it. After all, you have to go through 2 weeks of hormone treatments and then once the transplant takes, you get paid.
Anyway, just thought I would ask your opinion about this? Do you think this could work for someone as a way to become prosperous? Apparently lots of women do. What do you think?
This article is very good.
