The highlights of the story were:
- Consumer debt fell by $30 billion or 0.8% in the third quarter.
- Americans are busting debt like crazy because they no realize that it is bad news, costing them huge amount of cash and is harder to come by.
- Folks are spending a lot less which is worrying those economists as consumer bad spending makes up a whopping 70% of the U.S.’s gross domestic product.
- People’s net worth fell and they’re changing.
And you know what I said, good for us Americans. We are sticking it to them and doing what we should have been doing for ourselves all along. Taking care of our business and not relying on the government or anyone else. We are slashing our budgets, spending less and paying down our debt and as a result, we will prosper American. Yes we will. Don’t listen to those money-hungry ghouls who are trying to get us to spend, spend, spend. I say, “continue to save, save, save.”
