Americans Are Slashing Debt - and Consumer Experts are Concerned!

Published by kpcwriting at 2:59 pm under In the News Edit This

I read a humorous story on CNN’s homepage yesterday that sounded positive to me although the way it was reported, doesn’t sound to goo for those hot shot billionaire companies who want to keep us in debt so that they can line their ummm fat pocketbooks with our cold hard cash. The story basically stated that for the first time on record, we are

The highlights of the story were:

  • Consumer debt fell by $30 billion or 0.8% in the third quarter.
  • Americans are busting debt like crazy because they no realize that it is bad news, costing them huge amount of cash and is harder to come by.
  • Folks are spending a lot less which is worrying those economists as consumer bad spending makes up a whopping  70% of the U.S.’s  gross domestic product.
  • People’s net worth fell and they’re changing.

And you know what I said, good for us Americans. We are sticking it to them and doing what we should have been doing for ourselves all along. Taking care of our business and not relying on the government or anyone else. We are slashing our budgets, spending less and paying down our debt and as a result, we will prosper American. Yes we will. Don’t listen to those money-hungry ghouls who are trying to get us to spend, spend, spend. I say, “continue to save, save, save.”
